KEY WEST BEACH, Fla.
— You can’t really tell if your key West beach chain is a chain, but the keychain holder has a pretty good idea.
The key holder spotted the chain during a visit to Key West last month, but he decided to test it out anyway.
He left the chain in a bag and then tried to unlock it with a piece of paper.
“There’s no way I could open it,” he said.
But after he went back into the store, he noticed something else.
A key was embedded in a key chain.
I’m a chain-averse, he said, adding that he would never go back to chain stores again.
At least, not in the key chain holder’s mind.
Instead, he’ll use the chain for his wallet, credit cards, and phone.
After all, that’s how most chains work.
For now, the chain holder says he’s not planning to use it again for any other reason.
Key West Beach, Florida is located on the Gulf of Mexico and is part of the Key West National Recreation Area.
